The Faculty of Automation and Computer Science is a public institution of higher education and research with a didactic and research mission in "Computer Science and Information Technology" and "Systems Engineering". The "Automatic Control" and "Computer Science" specializations had been created as distinct specializations belonging to the "Computer and Systems Science" field within the Faculty of Electrotechnics, on 4.07.1977.
The Faculty of Automation and Computer Science has three departments: Computer Science, Automation and Mathematics.
The Faculty of Automation and Computer Science trains specialists in the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology and Systems Engineering.
The staff of the faculty conducts research, development and innovation activities in the fields of computers, information technology, automation and applied informatics.
